Nicanora Armendáriz Contreras passed away on February 2nd, at the age of 47. She had acquired life insurance for $57 pesos at the beginning of her cycle. She passed away leaving her husband Mr. Arturo Hernández Sánchez as the beneficiary. He commented:

“The insurance allowed us to confront the debts we had so that we could continue to support my family. This is the kind of aid that you never know when you’ll need”.

“Mi family and I are very thankful to Compartamos because two days after my wife died they paid us 30 thousand pesos from the insurance without any problems. They honored their word!”
