Accelerated population growth in Mexico and the rest of Latin America has surpassed the capacities that companies have to provide work, and people search to carry out production activities, known as micro-companies, to acquire income.

In 1990, within this context, the Income Generation Program was created by Compartamos Banco, providing opportunities and offering credit as a mean to make  microbusiness grow and to contribute to Mexico’s development.

Along our history, at Compartamos we have achieved results with a clear tendency of sustainable growth, quality of assets and profitability becoming an intermediary financial agent between large investors and the lower income segments.
