About this report

This report covers the results, actions and progress made by Compartamos, SAB de CV during fiscal year 2012 in the following areas: economic and financial, relationship management with key stakeholders, environmental, social and community outreach. The report was carried out according to international methodology GRI Global Reporting Initiative, which is used by Compartamos since 2008, in 2012, we worked with the guidelines for sustainability reporting version 3.1. Since 2008 all reports have been published on an annual basis under the same methodology GRI, so techniques and figures no significant changes of methodological nature, scope and coverage, except for the inclusion of new business operations in Guatemala and Peru.

To determine the materiality of this report, we conducted a research process and internal analysis of the most relevant aspects of the activity of Compartamos SAB de CV, with the support of SustainAbility McBride, issues were economic, social, environmental, Compartamos relationships with its various stakeholders and the impact on them.

All information and figures reported in this paper strengthen the operation of Compartamos SAB de CV in the financial year 2012, in the countries where they operate their business lines (Mexico, Guatemala and Peru) and the preparation of the report conducted interviews with collaborators, field visits, client meetings and the review of audit areas.

In calculating the figures in the report were employed accepted accounting rules and practices in the countries where Compartamos SAB de CV and amounts in the financial statements, and internal measurements into different areas for staff numbers, training and other indicators of social and environmental nature.
